Wishing wishing to offend anyone on this first-rate forum, and not being negative - what is your least liked or worst record you can recall.
Without question, mine was the Singing Nun's Dominique! And of course any Rap record you care to think of!

Later this year on this forum, I will reveal the 100 worst records of the Rock N' Roll Era, so stay tuned for that. Meantime, here are a couple of Top 10 Contenders for that countdown: "When Doves Cry" (Prince) - how that record was #1 for 5 weeks in 1984 is beyond me. "Kokomo" (The Beach Boys) - their 4th #1 is their worst single of their otherwise brilliant career; bad movie ("Cocktail"), & a bad record from it. (1988) "Dream On" (Aerosmith) - this 1976 Top 10 hit is NOT among their best work; very annoying & screechy. Stay tuned.

Mine is DEFINITELY "Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weeny Yellow Polkadot Bikini" Even writing this has the annoying tune rattling around in my brain. Now I must go away and expunge it again or I'll go mad!!!

Why, P! Mr. Brian Hyland would be "crushed" by your revelation choosing his #1 record from August 1960 as "Annoying"!! The shame!!! ;D ;D

You're too right MM!! It's real shame, having such a record as #1. Don't know what he's thinking of! ;D ;D

How about Joe Dolce's 'Shuttppa ya face.' That kept Phil Collins' 'In the air tonight' off the number one spot in 1981. amazing or what?

what about Michael Jackson's #1 song from 1972: "Ben". A song about a rat??? yuck!!! Or this one from late '69/early '70 : "Jam Up Jelly Tight" by Tommy Roe. Bubble gum garbage of the lowest quality, i'm afraid. Or any AC/DC song NOT named "Back In Black"? My ears hurt just thinking about that band!

Over here in the states, Joe Dolce's "Shaddup You Face" didn't make the Top 40 portion of Billboard (#51), but in Los Angeles (my hometown ;D) it was a #2 hit! And for the record, "In The Air Tonight" reached #19 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart in the summer of 1981.

Hey Terry, Now I keep singing 'may the bird of paradise fly up your nose.' For other members, Terry and I have been corresponding about this. Unfortunately Terry's far too young to remember one of my favorite comedy songs; Anthony Newley's 'Can your hear it - that noise!" Ian
